The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home which has a combined gross household earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of nsfas login the public universities and TVET nsfas login colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
